Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know that we're experiencing some technical issues with our computer. I'm thinking it's a bad power supply, but I haven't gotten a chance to really look at it. Unfortunately, it prevents us from posting any new videos for the time being. On the plus side, we shot the robot trigger video; all I need to do is edit and post it. So there's that to look forward to. Just bear with us, we should be back up and rolling in a week or so.

Public Freezing

Here's a quickie with Bliss and Arsenic at a local mall. Bliss poses in a few dresses, then the two hit the store floor for some more freezing. 90% of the time, I'm the one behind the camera, so it's nice when the girls come home with some footage that's even a surprise to me.

...And We're Back

Hi everyone! Happy New Year and welcome to the new and improved FreezePlay. The dust is still settling, but we've just about gotten everything ironed out. Here's what's in store for you all:

First, we've got our own domain! Freezeplay.blogspot.com will still take you where you want to go, but in the future you'll want to enter www.freezeplay.net.

Next, Bliss and I have recorded a few inductions for those of you who want to try hypnosis on your own. Head on over to the Inductions page to check that out. Right now, there's only an audio induction available, though I'll be uploading a video in the very near future of an induction I wrote for Bliss to read.

We also added a few photos to a new section of the blog called FreezePlay: Dead On Arrival. I realize this might not be for everyone, but instead of taking our attention away from FreezePlay and starting a brand new blog, I thought I'd add it as a separate page. Bliss has always fancied playing dead, so we figured we'd take some tasteful photos and make it a semi-regular thing. Let us know what you all think.

We will be trying to add live freezes to our regular rotation. Bliss really wanted to stay and chat with everyone that participated last time, we were just unfamiliar with Justin.tv at the time. We should have a better set-up in the coming weeks.

And no update would be complete without a few videos. Here's an extended session I had with Bliss over the weekend. This one's doll/mannequin centric. It turned out very well, though part two is my favorite.

Hi everyone,

I've gotten a few questions recently about the lack of new videos. I wanted to take the opportunity to assuage fears that the site has become defunct or that we've quit making videos. Quite the contrary, Bliss, Arsenic and I are working on a big update that we hope to have up soon. I can't make any promises as to the time frame but I can assure you all that it should be worth the wait. We want to take the site in a slightly new direction; same great content but with a renewed focus on quality rather than sheer quantity. Stay tuned, good things are on the way!

Hi everyone, it's Bliss.

I apologize for the late post and delay in videos. A couple things came up on Friday, but I wanted to make sure we didn't miss another week.

I wanted to take the chance to quickly share a change in our posting schedule. While I've enjoyed making videos each week, I've been feeling a bit worn out lately trying to keep up with all the great requests and ideas that have been coming in. That said, we may not be sticking as closely to our weekly schedule as we did. Maintaining a marriage, a job, and friendships in addition to working on videos has been a handful; I don't want to stop making videos, but would rather post them when we have the chance instead of being held down to a weekly schedule. I'm hoping to be motivated to shoot every other week at the least.

We've received a lot of great ideas for the robot trigger video, and we're hoping to make that a regular feature instead of a single video. We have one in the works and it should be ready soon.

And now for the videos. The doll box idea was one I've been looking forward to doing for some time, and I really enjoyed making it. I'm already thinking of other doll themes to come, so let us know what you think!

It's almost Halloween, so we've got a couple of treats for you all.

First, in case you missed it, we've got the recording of Bliss' first live freeze on Justin.tv. This was more of a trial run, so it's a bit rough. We'll be giving something like this a shot again in the future, so stay posted to Twitter and YouTube for more. A big thanks to everyone who tuned in!

Next, Bliss touches up her nails to give them a freshly bloodied look for Halloween. She soon finds that her polish is inducing a slow freeze. A heads up: I had to drop the audio on this one due to technical difficulties, but there wasn't much going on in that department, anyways.

Next, I trance Bliss and make her think that she's a travel agent, trying to talk me into taking a vacation. What she doesn't know is that she's secretly a robot. I activate her at random while she's talking and have some fun with her.

Last, we have a Halloween themed photoset. Bliss is brought to life like a modern day Bride of Frankenstein and played with via remote. I'm particularly proud of how these turned out. It's always fun to do themed sets like this. Full versions of the photos can be viewed here.

Another week, another set of videos!

First, Bliss talks a little about her history with freezing and hypnosis, and how she came to be interested in the two. I was having a conversation with her the other day and she brought up an experience she had when she was young that she had never mentioned in our five years of being together. That in and of itself sort of blew my mind. By this point, I feel like I've heard everything there was to hear about her, especially concerning one of my favorite subjects. Well, I stand corrected. I figured it would be fun to share it with all of you.

Of course, this wouldn't be FreezePlay if we didn't spice things up a bit. I tranced Bliss beforehand to become more and more tired every time she says the word 'freeze' or 'hypnosis'. It's great seeing her fight off sleep:

The next video has Bliss getting ready to go to bed. I freeze her in place at various times during the process. Now, before any of you smarties say anything, yes, we shot this in the morning for optimal lighting. If we actually shot it at night, you probably wouldn't be able to make out anything, especially in our bedroom. Just imagine that she works night shift and sleeps all day :)

Finally, to those who sent robot triggers in for our second reading: I haven't forgotten you! I'm extending the deadline a little further. I'll be posting a video on YouTube soon to advertise, since we only received a few entries. We want to make sure everyone that would be interested has a chance to enter and unfortunately, not all of those people read the blog.

The Friday Freeze: October 14, 2011

EDIT: Due to difficulties we've experienced from a particular customer, we're putting a hold on any requests for paid custom videos. The money is not worth the hassle we've had to endure, so we're sticking to the free stuff for the foreseeable future.

Lots of new things happening here at FreezePlay HQ. First, we have a new assistant, Arsenic. She's a long time mutual friend who we just recently 'came out' to about FreezePlay and our hypno/freezing/etc fetishes in general. I didn't know what to expect and have to say I was a bit nervous, but she was very accepting and was actually interested in helping out. She'll be shooting some of our videos here and there and lending aid behind the scenes, though I'm not ruling out more in the future. Make sure you all say hi and make her feel welcome!

Second, we're now set up, at a basic level, to accept requests for paid custom videos. When I say basic level, I unfortunately mean snail mail. Ideally, I would like to accept electronic payments, but there are surprisingly few options available that don't require you to be a business or disclose a significant amount of personal information. Bliss and I want to keep things simple for the time being, so we set up a P.O. box for payments. If snail mail isn't a put off, drop us a line at freeze.play.mail@gmail.com with your request and we'll negotiate a fair price.

~~Right off the bat, we've got a few limitations:~~

~~1. No full nudity. We don't have a way to verify if someone is over 18/21 and we don't want to be noticed by the authorities.~~

~~2. No simulated sex acts. See #1.~~

~~Other than that, Bliss is willing to try just about anything, within reason.~~

We'll still be posting a ton of free stuff, have no fear. That has always been our primary focus with the blog and the YouTube channel. We still want to hear all of your ideas and suggestions; we aren't moving to a paid business model for that kind of thing. We're just adding another option for those of you who don't mind spending a bit of money for complete directorial control of a video.

Now, on to the videos!

First, we tease a little hypnotic catalepsy. I love this kind of stuff, but I always thought Bliss wasn't interested. I brought it up with her the other night and she was surprisingly into it. She mentioned a game she used to play as a kid called 'Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board' which apparently I never knew existed. After she explained it and her experience with it, I couldn't help but feel like someone just invented a hypno game for kids.

That said, it was a little tough to maneuver her into place by myself, so this is only a preview:

Next, Bliss tries on a few different outfits in the dressing room of a department store. We're slowly working on doing freezes in more public locations and I suppose this is the first step. The video was shot by Arsenic, and you may see her peeking out here and there in the mirror :) I think she did a great job:

Finally, we have some more remote action. I freeze Bliss and 'record' a pose with the remote. I then release her, letting her carry on with whatever it is that she's doing. At a whim, I press the 'Pose' button, and she instantly snaps back to her recorded pose, completely frozen and blank. I play around with that for a little bit:

I''ve gotten a lot of great suggestions lately for whipping up a 'real' remote, so I'm thinking there may be an 'upgrade' in the near future. Who would have thought I'd have so much fun with it?

The [Not So] Friday Freeze: October 8, 2011

Each week, Bliss and I sort through the videos and photos we've shot and choose the best to post here on the blog. That's what we call the Friday Freeze.

First, my apologies for the lateness. Bliss and I had videos lined up that we wanted to post for Friday, but editing and rendering proved more of a time consuming process than we realized.

Most of the time, we do a sweep of the house for photos of family and friends before a shoot. We don't mind if our stuff gets on camera, but we want to give privacy to our family members who don't know we're doing this (and frankly probably wouldn't understand). The two videos included in today's update are prime examples of how even after a full search, you can still miss a few things here and there. I don't know if it was how well Bliss was doing or how much I was in the moment that I just kept rolling, even after a few photos got in the shot. I worked a little magic in the editing room to blur out the offending items, to varying degrees of success. It may be a bit distracting, but I couldn't refuse posting these videos if I knew they just needed a little editing.

That said, our Remote Freeze video received the most work. The pixel blur is terrible, but Bliss is phenomenal; I just had to share:

Bliss tries to hypnotize the audience, but winds up putting herself into a trance. Something to note: Bliss did this on her own, without me trancing her or triggering her beforehand. I did, however, take full advantage of the situation once she was out :) Fans of the sleepwalker pose may want to stay tuned until the end.

Robot Trigger Fun

Bliss and I have received quite a response to our robot video. We're starting to get a general idea of the content our audience enjoys, and this is a significant part of it.

Bearing that in mind, I want to try another audience-interactive video, similar to what we did with Bliss' freeze trigger. This time around, Bliss would have a robot trigger installed. When she reads her trigger word, she would instantly transform into a robot, and obey the next line that she reads, doing so in a robotic fashion. Afterwards, she would revert back to her normal self and continue reading. This way, there could be different suggestions every time she triggers, instead of one set response as in the freeze trigger video.

Bliss' robot trigger word will be 'secret'. In keeping with the robot theme, I'd like all of you to write a short science fiction story which utilizes her trigger word (cliche, maybe, but I can't resist). Keep it to no more than three uses; I'm sure you all will have some creative suggestions for her and I want to give everyone a shot to get something in.

Bliss and I definitely had a good time shooting this week's update. Not to say that we don't normally, but sometimes we have an idea land on our lap that's too good not to try. Case in point:

I've seen prank videos with living mannequins in department stores before, but we had a different source of inspiration for this one. Laughs all around on this one. Pardon my bad acting, by the way.

I included both stills and video from our living doll shoot. Our video camera doesn't do well in low light, so I like to shoot stills to try to nail some of those easy-to-miss details. Small tangent: it may be the possessive side of me, but I simply love scrawling a name on the bottom of Bliss' foot. It's the perfect little detail to complete her objectification.

Last, but certainly not least, we play around with one of my favorite instant induction techniques:

In other news, we've expanded to Twitter! You can follow our updates and random hypno & freeze related musings @freezeplayvideo. Thinking to the future, I would like to eventually schedule evenings that we get online to chat with everyone and have Bliss do some live freezes over Justin.tv. Freeze Trigger Entries

Just a friendly reminder:

This Friday is the cut-off date for the freeze trigger writings. We're going to compile everything and shoot the video this Saturday, in time for next Friday's release (9/30). Bliss and I got a bunch of awesome entries and she is super anxious to read them all to you. Thanks to those who sent something in.

Friday Update

Happy Friday, everyone. Hope the weekend finds you all well. This week's update comes with something of an unintentional theme; if we had only shot a doll video, we might have hit the trifecta.

I was really proud of the performance Bliss turned in with the robot video. I was hoping to do one like that for a while, and I'm glad it turned out so well. My apologies if the video's a little shaky, though. Trying to steady a camera and hold a comically oversized remote can be a bit tough.

The marionette video was a bit of an experiment; I want to find the perfect angle in the future where you can at least see my arms in the shot and how I'm directing Bliss to move.

Freeze Trigger Experiment

Bliss and are experimenting with something for an upcoming video and want all of you to help us out.

I've given Bliss a hypnotic trigger that will freeze her for about ten seconds anytime she reads the word 'butterscotch' aloud. My plan is to shoot a video of her reading material that contains this freeze word and being helplessly frozen over and over in mid sentence. This is where all of you come in: write a [fairly] brief story, a joke, a recipe, a haiku, whatever you can come up with that Bliss can read that has a few creative uses of the trigger word and send it to us. The sky's the limit. We'll pick some of the funniest and most clever entries to have Bliss read aloud for the video. Hopefully, some interesting freezes will ensue. Remember to keep it YouTube friendly and, most importantly, creative! Sure, you can send us a paragraph of 'butterscotch', but we probably won't use it.

Weekly Updates

Some folks like to kick off the weekend with a night out on the town. Others start it off with a hang over from said night out. Here at FreezePlay, we like to kick off the weekend with new content. Starting this week, Bliss and I will be putting up new videos on the YouTube channel every Friday evening, barring some sort of catastrophic, world ending event [even then, we still might]. It gives us something to look forward to throughout the week, and hopefully it will give you all something to look forward to as well.

In other news, our videos on YouTube have just exceeded ten thousand cumulative views. That may seem like a small milestone, but Bliss and I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone that made it possible. It's the little things like that which make doing what we do all the more enjoyable.

Most of the time, I use triggers to bring Bliss into a trance. It's quick, easy and requires only a few deepeners before she's off to the (hypnotic) races. I don't often get the chance to do a proper induction, which is actually one of my favorite parts of the process. Bliss and I had a half hour to kill, so I took the chance to hypnotize her without the aid of the usual triggers. I recorded the induction and thought I might as well share.

My apologies in advance: the audio is pretty terrible. You can barely hear me at all, but that might be for the best. Bliss does great, as usual.

And yes, I used a pocket watch. Cliche? Maybe. But so classic.

New Studio

I love it when things come together.

The lighting where we shoot is usually pretty terrible. In addition to that, Bliss and I usually only get a chance to record videos late at night which, with a cheap, pseudo hi-def camera, makes shooting conditions downright awful. To improve that, Bliss and I shuffled some things around and we now have a small studio space to work with to shoot some of the videos. We can throw up some extra lights and in five minutes, we're rolling (and freezing).

We recorded a few quick videos from the new studio space. The quality is markedly better than some of the older ones:

I love freezing Bliss, but one thing I love more than that is messing with her when she's freezing. We've got some good memories of stuff like that and this is just another one of those moments:

Bliss and I have been getting a lot of great feedback from everyone. Thanks for all the messages and comments, keep them coming! We're hoping to get another video out by the weekend, though the Labor Day holiday is going to keep us busy. The extra day off might give us some time to kick an extra video or two out, so keep your fingers crossed.

We'd also like to take some stills, so we're open to ideas or themes for photosets. I may or may not be taking Bliss shopping, so outfit suggestions wouldn't hurt either.

Living Doll Practice

This clip was shot right before the first Mannequin Freeze video. It's not as polished as I would like and it's a tad dark, but I figured I'd post it anyways. We'll work on the lighting in coming videos.

Bliss and I are planning on another shoot within the next couple of days, so leave some comments on the YouTube channel if you have any suggestions. She takes well to freezing by hypnotic triggers, so keep that in mind!
